Installing his first solar electric system back in 1988, Chris Reilly dreamed of the day when solar could be
affordable for all…and has seen it come true!

A native of Syracuse, NY, Chris is a seasoned business professional with over 10 years of experience in
the solar construction industry. Upon graduating from State University of New York at Oswego (BA –
Political Science, Economics) he embarked upon a diverse career in state legislature (NY State Senate),
the hotel and cruise industries (Best Western, Celebrity Cruises), electrical manufacturing (Eagle Electric,
Cooper Industries) and private real estate investment before launching a small company in 2010
installing solar electric (SolarTEK Energy) throughout north Georgia. Merging with a larger local
company (Southern View Energy) in 2012, he has directed the specification and sale of over $8 million in
solar installations.

Chris and Don first met in 2016 as Solar Plus was being launched. Impressed with Don’s work ethic,
product knowledge and integrity, Chris gladly shared his business experience and advice with him and by
2020 it occurred to each they were very much “cut of the same cloth” when it came to delivering
accurate, honest assessments and if appropriate, products, for customers. So much so, that upon Solar
Plus’s steady expansion and desire to enter the commercial solar market, Don invited Chris to lead in
that effort.

Combining his deep knowledge of and passion for the benefits of renewable energy, Chris successfully
translates both the electro-mechanical and financial workings of a solar electric system in ways that
owners easily understand. “Investing in solar is a big decision, especially for smaller companies with
limited capital budgets. We take pride in being specific and highly accurate when it comes to sizing up
customer benefits, and there are no hurt feelings if they can’t manage to do it right now. Not being just
another “pushy sales outfit” has paid off in the past, where I’ve had clients return 2, 3 even 4 years later
and say, “How’s it look today?” For some, it then adds up…and our having been there for them over
time made a big difference.”

Chris looks forward to helping lead Solar Plus to the next level, and believes the industry is poised for
explosive growth over the next 5-10 years. “We’re on the cusp of a tidal wave of solar installations.
With solar cost having come down so much and utility-supplied electric cost only going up, a business
can have a 25 year warranted system fully paid for in less than 8 years and delivering double-digit ROI.
There’s no safer way to invest in a business than by securing self-generated, inflation-proof energy —
and taking advantage of that as soon as possible.”
